Neuropsychological assessment and Alzheimer's disease research

Lisa Kalungwana’s global health focus centers on advancing research in Alzheimer's disease and aging in Zambia, with an emphasis on determining prevalence and piloting the HCAP neuropsychological assessment test battery for diagnosing Alzheimer’s Disease and Related Disorders. Her interests in global health equity align with the Center’s themes of strengthening systems for health, addressing social and environmental determinants of health, and developing technical solutions. Kalungwana’s research is piloting the HCAP neuropsychological test battery in Zambian urban communities to enhance diagnostic capabilities and improve knowledge related to aging and neuropsychological health.
