Lisa M. Lapeyrouse’s global work focuses on conducting community-engaged research that applies an intersectional approach to understanding and addressing health inequities, which produces both meaningful and measurable benefits to vulnerable populations. Her interests in global health equity align with the Center theme of determining social and environmental determinants of health. Her research areas include studying the racial and ethnic disparities in mental health and health care access among Latino communities, including immigrant and border populations.
