Peer-helping models for people facing life crises; prevention services, especially to mental health and child welfare populations

Lynn Videka’s global work focuses on integrated health and behavioral health care, specifically in researching families served by the child welfare system and persons with serious mental health disabilities. Her interests in global health equity align with the Center themes of empowering women and communities, strengthening systems for health, and addressing social and environmental determinants of health. As dean of the School of Social Work, Videka has engaged faculty, staff, alums, students, and community partners in a strategic planning process that has resulted in an ambitious strategy to lead the entire social work field into the next generation of research, education innovation, and service.
