Improve clinical management for dental caries
Margherita Fontana’s global work focuses on health systems strengthening to improve clinical care and management for dental caries. Her interests in global health equity align with the Center theme of strengthening systems for health. Fontana’s research involves clinical studies to assess various strategies for caries risk assessment among children and to evaluate non-operative management of cavitated caries. She previously served as president of the Cariology Group of the International Association for Dental Research.
