Marie O'Neill, PhD

Health effects of air pollution, temperature extremes, and climate change; environmental exposure assessment; and socio-economic influences on health

Marie O’Neill’s global research focuses on environmental and occupational exposures as contributors to health disparities, including disparate maternal and child health outcomes. Her interests in global health equity align with the Center themes of empowering women and communities, addressing social and environmental determinants of health, and providing technical solutions. O'Neill has an interest in capacity building and equal partnerships with global and local partners, using a community-based participatory research approach. She is committed to collaborative learning, work and action around energy, health, climate, and equity in low resource settings.
