Mary Janevic, PhD, MPH

Chronic disease and mental health self-management

Mary Janevic’s work focuses on chronic disease and mental health self-management. Her interests in global health equity align with the Center themes of addressing social and environmental determinants of health and providing technical solutions. Janevic designs interventions to promote self-care among individuals with chronic pain and other chronic illnesses, particularly among older adults and women. She also investigates the effects of having multiple chronic conditions on self-care management strategies and health outcomes.
