Michael Gaies, MD, MPH, MS

Michael Gaies’s global work focuses on improving care to children with congenital heart disease around the world. His interests in global health equity align with the Center theme of strengthening systems for health. Gaies’s research examines evidence-based practices and the underlying drivers of healthcare outcomes among cardiac ICUs globally to improve care. He serves as director of the Pediatric Cardiac Critical Care Consortium, which works globally to disseminate best practice findings throughout the international community of pediatric cardiac critical care and cardiac surgery.
