Nari Yoo’s global health focus centers on mental health service equity for immigrant and linguistically marginalized populations, with particular attention to language access, digital inclusion, and how emerging technologies can improve care delivery in receiving-country contexts. Her interests in global health equity align with the Center’s themes of strengthening systems for health, addressing social and environmental determinants of health, and developing technical solutions. Yoo’s research uses computational methods—including natural language processing, spatial analysis, and large-scale survey data—to identify systemic gaps in mental health service availability and evaluate how technology-driven tools and language-inclusive design can better reach and serve immigrant communities.
