Human and wildlife interactions, environmental justice

Rebecca Hardin’s global work focuses on open source, open access teaching and learning tools for community health research and training and environmental justice related initiatives. Her research interests in health equity align with the Center’s themes of empowering women and communities, addressing social and environmental determinants of health, and designing technical solutions for health equity. Hardin looks at the interaction between humans and wildlife and infectious disease in extractive industry sites, as well as the relationship between traditional healing and contemporary biomedicine.
