Remote rehabilitation and assessment for aging and upper extremity function

Susan Brown’s global health focus centers on remote delivery of functional assessment and rehabilitation tools to improve upper extremity function across the lifespan, with a particular emphasis on older adults and those experiencing age-related impairments. Her interests in global health equity align with the Center’s themes of strengthening systems for health, addressing social and environmental determinants of health, and developing technical solutions. Brown’s research focuses on developing improved assessment tools for hand and arm function and delivering effective movement-based programs to maintain and enhance activities of daily living for older adults.
