Shathani Mugoma’s global health focus is on injury and trauma epidemiology, with specific expertise in intentional injuries, including homicides, femicides, suicides, and road traffic accidents, as well as injury prevention, disaster and emergency preparedness, and improving systems for forensic and medico-legal investigations. His interests in global health equity align with the Center’s themes of empowering women and addressing social and environmental determinants of health.
