Health monitoring and evaluation, health service delivery

Timothy Lubanga’s global work focuses on health monitoring and evaluation and on developing and managing programs in conflict-affected environments, specifically in sub-Saharan Africa. His interests in global health equity align with the Center’s themes of empowering women and communities, strengthening systems for health, and addressing social and environmental determinants of health. Lubanga’s research looks at topics such as youth vulnerability, rural development, social protection, and environmental sustainability. He has collaborated with U-M faculty to implement a health monitoring project for the empowerment of local government leaders to improve health service delivery in Mbarara, Uganda.
