Environmental factors and cancer
Venkat Keshamouni’s global work focuses on understanding the biology of environmental factors induced cancers, such as smoking and lung cancer. His interests in global health equity align with the Center theme of addressing social and environmental determinants of health. Keshamouni’s research examines cellular and molecular interactions in the tumor microenvironment (TME) that contribute to tumor growth and metastasis.
