Missaye Mengstie’s global work focuses on improving hospital management and healthcare organizational culture, specifically in Ethiopia. His interests in global health equity align with the Center’s themes of empowering women and communities and strengthening systems for health. Mengstie collaborates with U-M faculty on the Global Sexuality Project about sexual scripts and women's experiences with sexuality across cultures.
