Masahito Jimbo, MD, PhD, MPH

Masahito Jimbo’s global work focuses on health promotion communications and shared decision making for patients and physicians, with an emphasis on cancer screening. His interests in global health equity align with the Center themes of strengthening systems for health, addressing social and environmental determinants of health, and providing technical solutions. Jimbo’s research aims to enhance patient/physician communication and develop effective decision aids accounting for a patient’s attitudes and behavior to improve chronic disease management, enhance health promotion and engage in disease prevention. He is an expert in cross-cultural medicine, with years of experience working in Japan.
