Gender based violence and human rights, sexual violence response amongst nursing professionals
Bertha Randa’s global work focuses on gender based violence with specific interests in sexual and domestic violence. Her interests in global health equity align with the Center’s themes of empowering women and communities as well as addressing social and environmental determinants of health. Her current research centers on experiences of women who access healthcare facilities as a result of sexual assault or sexual violence in South Africa. She collaborates with U-M faculty as part of the Sub-Saharan Africa University Gender-Based Violence Research and Prevention Network.
