Change impacts on hydroclimatic extremes and disease risk

Mohammed Ombadi's global work focuses on studying the impacts of human-caused global warming on extreme weather and climate events and their influence on the risk of infectious and waterborne diseases. His interests in global health equity align with the Center's themes of addressing social and environmental determinants of health and developing technical solutions. Ombadi’s research aims to understand and quantify the impacts of climate change on hydroclimatic extremes, such as heavy storms, floods, extreme heatwaves, and droughts. He utilizes advanced data-driven methods and develops techniques to measure environmental resilience, informing climate change mitigation and adaptation strategies.
