Public policy as a means to reduce health disparities
Paula Lantz’s research focuses on the role that social and economic factors, including public policy, play across countries in producing and addressing population health and health inequities. Her interests in global health equity align with the Center theme of addressing social and environmental determinants of health. Lantz’s work aims specifically to identify public policy innovations that will reduce social disparities in health among socioeconomically disadvantaged populations. Her current research is focused on how the COVID-19 pandemic is exacerbating social inequalities in health, and also on housing policy and health.
