Rajiv Ghimire, PhD

Climate adaptation, energy transition, and food security for sustainable development
Rajiv Ghimire’s global work focuses on the intersection of climate change adaptation, energy transition, and food security as these topics relate to well-being, sustainability, and development. Ghimire's interests in global health equity align with the Center’s themes of addressing social and environmental determinants of health and empowering women and vulnerable communities. With a geographical focus on South Asia, Ghimire's work has focused on the Himalayan Hindukush Mountain range countries, including Bangladesh, India, Myanmar, Nepal, and Pakistan. His recent scholarship looks at human and social dimensions of global change and environmental governance, including addressing poverty, inequality, and social justice.
