Rogerio Castilho, DDS, MS, PhD

Oral health care, cancer prevention, and cancer diagnosis

Rogerio Castilho is a member of the CGHE Linkage Committee and, as Director of Global Initiatives, represents the University of Michigan School of Dentistry. He leads programs that deliver oral and craniofacial health care to underserved populations in Central and South America and across African countries. His interests in global health equity align with the Center’s themes of strengthening systems for health and developing technical solutions. Castilho's research concentrates on oral cancer, with particular emphasis on repurposing existing drugs for head and neck cancers and advancing diagnosis and prevention strategies for head and neck cancers.
