Sabine Loos, PhD

Disaster risk reduction and recovery, statistical risk analysis, climate change

Sabine Loos’s global work focuses on developing disaster information centered on users and the human experience. Her interests in global health equity align with the Center’s themes of addressing social and environmental determinants of health, and designing technical solutions. Through statistical learning, risk analysis, and user-centered design techniques, Sabine seeks to quantify disparities in impacts due to climate change and disasters, ultimately promoting the resilience of communities at risk from disasters.
