Thomas Buchmueller's global work focuses on the economics of healthcare and health insurance, with a specific focus on public policy. His research interests in health equity align with the Center’s themes of addressing social and environmental determinants of health, and strengthening systems for health. While Buchmueller's main focus has been the US, he has conducted research on health insurance and access to care in France, Australia, and the Netherlands.
