Empowering Women and Communities in Global Health

Student in Thailand writing an exam

With Laura Rozek, Cheryl Moyer, Jody Lori, Elizabeth King, and Bridgette Carr

November 19, 2020

How can we better engage with women in LMIC settings to improve health and empower them and their communities?

Engaging and empowering women can improve the health of entire communities. The Empowering Women and Communities Challenge Group aims to create a space where researchers, public health practitioners, community partners, and others can learn from one another, seek support, and push forward a meaningful agenda focused on understanding, measuring, intervening upon, and assessing the impact of empowerment on health in low-resource global communities. With:

  • Laura Rozek, School of Public Health
  • Cheryl Moyer, Michigan Medicine
  • Jody Lori, School of Nursing
  • Elizabeth King, School of Public Health
  • Bridgette Carr, School of Law
