The COVID-19 pandemic has highlighted the significant health, economic and geopolitical costs of vaccine inequities—as well as how pervasive and complex these challenges are. Potential solutions must address not only the science of developing vaccines, but also policies, economic factors, and social structures that relate to vaccine financing, production, distribution, access, and hesitancy. Multidisciplinary approaches are needed.
Join the Center for Global Health Equity for a Research Jam to explore these challenges and begin to develop multidisciplinary solutions that would have an impact on vaccine inequity, particularly in low-resource settings. Facilitated by the Michigan Institute for Clinical & Health Research (MICHR), the session will provide an opportunity for interested faculty to learn about the Center's vaccine equity initiative and build connections with like-minded colleagues from across the University interested in this space.
