Five CGHE Faculty Members Granted Global Public Health Appointments at the U-M School of Public Health

The U-M Board of Regents has endorsed the appointment of five distinguished faculty members as part of the eighth cohort of Global Public Health at the School of Public Health. The three-year term will take effect from January 1, 2024. All five new appointees are members of CGHE. 

These individuals have been selected for their extensive experience and substantial contributions in the field of global public health research, training, education, and practice. Their consistent efforts bolster the pursuits of the SPH Office of Global Public Health and highlight their dedication to the advancement of health equity worldwide.

The new appointees for the 2024 term are Associate Professors Sara Adar and Ella August. Faculty reappointed for the 2024 term are Scott Greer, Alexis Handal, and Rick Neitzel.

These esteemed appointments are an important step in continuing to amplify the University of Michigan's stature as a leading institution in global health equity. Join us as we extend our heartfelt congratulations to these faculty members for their influential advancements.
