Gloria Carmona Clavijo, PhD, MPH
Gloria Carmona Clavijo’s global health focus centers on advancing health equity through the responsible design, implementation, and evaluation of digital health and artificial intelligence tools in underserved and resource-limited settings. She is interested in community-engaged research and capacity-building initiatives that improve access to care and strengthen local health systems. Her interests in global health equity align with the Center’s themes of empowering women, strengthening systems for health, addressing social and environmental determinants of health, and developing technical solutions. Carmona Clavijo’s research uses qualitative and mixed methods approaches to examine the equitable implementation of digital health and artificial intelligence tools in global health settings. Her work focuses on stakeholder engagement, implementation barriers, and capacity-building strategies, particularly in Latin America.
