Yubraj Acharya, PhD
Yubraj Acharya's global health work focuses on improving the well-being of vulnerable populations in low- and middle-income countries in Asia and Africa, primarily using randomized controlled trials and quasi-experimental designs to evaluate programs and policies. His interests in global health equity align with the Center's themes of strengthening systems for health and addressing social and environmental determinants of health. Acharya's research investigates optimizing antibiotic use in community settings through interventions targeting pharmacies, the general population, and physicians. Additionally, he has tested interventions to promote early breast cancer screening and assessed the impact of non-inclusive policies on health, educational, and labor market outcomes for individuals with disabilities.
